
We are a team of interdisciplinary professionals, who have experience in planning, landscape architecture, and urban design. Our approach is to focus on the desired outcome and to find pathways and solutions that achieve this outcome, while working within the constraints of each project.
Vince joined Momentum as a Senior Planner in late 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience from consultancy and local government planning roles in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Throughout his career, Vince has successfully collaborated with various clients and authorities to secure planning approvals for a diverse range of developments in different contexts.
Passionate about maximizing development opportunities for applicants, Vince is dedicated to ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned in achieving client objectives. He prioritises the integrity and robustness of proposed solutions, striving to bring together all parties involved in the planning process.
Vince's expertise encompasses effects and policy assessments, development feasibility analysis, public and stakeholder engagement, presentation of planning assessments, client representation at hearings, project management, and coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams. He excels at addressing both the detailed technical aspects and the strategic long-term considerations of planning.
Outside of work, Vince enjoys staying active and has a keen interest in various sports.

Richard founded Momentum Planning and Design (MPAD) at the start of 2016, following a 23-year career in both the local government and consultancy sector. He has worked on a range of multidisciplinary projects in all areas of planning and has worked on many large-scale projects that have had complicated resource management and design issues. Richard is solutions focused and sees the big picture of projects, identifying risks quickly and thinking innovatively to find solutions to overcome hurdles. As a result, Richard is often the lead consultant on large planning projects and developments, allowing him to exercise his passion for high quality projects that create an improved environmental outcome. Richard also has a passion for assisting clients to achieve their goals by helping them navigate strategic planning processes, policy development, master planning and acquiring resource consents. Richard has also represented clients at local Council hearings and the Environment Court. He has been involved in several appeals, many of which resolved through mediation.
One of Richard’s milestone projects is the ongoing development of Ōmokoroa Town Centre, which is a large-scale project that is considered to play an essential role in the growth and development of the Ōmokoroa Peninsula.

Amanda is a Resource Management Planner previously from Wellington, having worked in local government and private sectors for 5 years. During this time, she has been involved in a range of planning work including the assessment of complex planning applications, monitoring multiple resource consents and reviews of plan change submissions. Some of the consenting projects she has undertaken include comprehensive multi-unit developments, alterations to heritage buildings, small- and large-scale subdivisions and a wide range of residential developments.
Amanda has experience working alongside a variety of technical and professional disciplines. She enjoys working with clients through the planning process to help them obtain their consent and reach a positive outcome.

Saja Yacoob is a qualified Landscape Architect, holding a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, with experience across high-end residential and large-scale developments throughout New Zealand. She has been involved in projects from initial client consultation and site analysis through to concept design, developed documentation, and construction detailing.
Saja has contributed to multi-unit residential developments,delivering comprehensive landscape detail packages for consented projects. She has experience preparing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and contributing to Urban Design Reports, demonstrating a strong understanding of planning frameworks, urban design principles, and the integration of landscape within the broader built environment.
With extensive plant knowledge and a deep understanding of species selection, performance, and long-term maintenance considerations, Saja ensures that planting design is both aesthetically refined and environmentally responsive.
She works collaboratively with Planners, Architects, and Engineers to deliver thoughtful, technically robust landscape solutions that respond to both client vision and regulatory requirements.

Charlotte is a landscape architect with more than ten years of experience. Her experience includes working in Sydney as a graduate, working as a designer of open space for Auckland Council,and working on larger projects within design offices in Auckland. She has experience across a range of project types, with a strong interest in the design of public spaces and how better design of these can enhance our cities.She is interested in ecologies and planting, understanding the importance of how integration of these can support wider ecosystems and enhance human well-being, particularly within a New Zealand context. She enjoys collaboration with other professions on projects, and how this cross thinking can create positive outcomes for projects. For the past few years, she has been a part time lecturer of first year landscape architecture students at Unitec, which she has enjoyed and has allowed her to give something back to the profession.
