MPAD supported the Kaimai Views development by leading the resource consent process, which was for medium density residential development of 242 lots. This included the development of higher density terrace housing of 25 units, which was part of a Western Bay of Plenty Housing Affordability Forum pilot project for innovative and affordable higher density housing. Bespoke medium density design standards were specifically developed, and included as conditions of consent, to ensure a high quality, liveable and affordable development.
Collaboration with local hapū Pirirākau was an important part of the process and resulted in the subdivision being named Kaimai Views.
MPAD is proud to have been involved in the process being a significant milestone project for the Western Bay of Plenty.
